I think the way reporting is done on Discord should be revamped
I almost never am able to report threats/malicious activity in my servers/on the platform because the way reporting is set up, it's almost just outright redundant. Not only is there not a 'report' function on member profiles, you can only report messages. And if somebody happens to delete the message in the middle of you reporting it, your report will become null and won't go through. I don't see why this is the case because the first thing I do when I see a post like that is delete it, which automatically makes it un-reportable, unless I decide to take time out of my day to submit a ticket to Discord support which I'm simply not taking time out of my day to do that whenever I want to report something
Example:
I just literally got a friend request from this user, who is self-admittedly 12 years old 'looking for bf' and I can't even report the user profile, and they haven't sent any messages so they are essentially unreportable in-app

I really don't understand why there isn't a 'Report' function on member profiles, why does every report need to be tied to a message ID when every single malicious message gets instantly deleted anyway? It should be listed right here under "Block" and I should be able to type in an actual report reason instead of the forced drop downs. There's literally not even a place to type in a custom report or to provide any context to the report

I agree with you,
I got harassed by a kid (yes don't pick on me) as his just making new alts as well as deleting messages. I believe discord needs to change how they store messages a bit but as well an A.I that temporarily stores the message that was reported, otherwise, what's the point of having a gaming version of Skype?
