Role notification when new post on a channel receiving post from a following channel

Hi!

I would like to send a notification to an specific role on my server whenever there's a new message on that channel but I can't find a way to do so. Anyone knows how to do that?

I created an specific channel on my server and followed a channel on a different server, so their messages appear on my channel. The original messages on the other server (which I receive on mine) already mention a role. As a first idea, I tried to create that same role on my server, but it doesn't work as a mention and it just appears as plain text on my server.

    You have to give users that role, and ping them, you can't just make the role.

     

    OR If you're talking about subscribing to channels from other servers and pushing them to your own, I don't think you can do that.

    Yes, I followed a channel from another server and I receive those messages on a channel of mine. I wanted an specific role to receive notifications whenever a new message was sent by the followed channel, without the need of a mention by myself.

    Hi Ivan ;)

    You can ask people with this role to personalize their own settings for a specific channel (notifications>all messages). However, if there are too many people with this role or you are not able to do it, you are not able to do it in any other way without using a BOT at the moment.


    You can configure a bot that would automatically reply to messages.
    - User XYZ sends a text message on the channel
    - BOT sends message "@role | User @user wrote message: message content"
    - BOT removes source message
