Custom display and screen for invite links and invite screens

You know how you can copy and paste a link for a channel in a server and it will convert a link into a readable button displaying the name of the channel and possibly the server its from if you're viewing it outside of that server?:

Why can't that be the same for discord invite links when viewing them in discord!:

Additionally, why should an invite link send you to the browser if it'll just add you to a server where - if you're using the desktop app - you have to then go BACK to the app to accept the invite and join. Alongside this, sometimes you're logged into a different account on your browser meaning you could mistakenly join the server on your other account!
What about embedding the join screen into the app when you click an official discord invite link?
