Changes to the report message feature
make report message send a direct priority message to all staff of the server
when someone clicks report message it will show staff of a server the message and why it was reported as well as a list of rules discord requires servers to follow to make proper judgement
make this warning show as a red border around your friends list with a !
when you click on the friends list a new area will show with a red border saying Red Alert your server has a reported message to avoid server shutdown please go check the content report message abusers can be reported at X to stop people who don't understand how to use the feature properly
when you then select the server you can goto the server settings and goto logs in the logs section you will see reports then clicking on the report will bring you to the message involved as which the staff can remove ban or do as they see fit to remove the bad content or actor
IN NO WAY SHOULD DISCORD STAFF ABUSE THEIR POWERS
whats the point of having server staff if discord staff are gonna mod everything want me to give you powers in my server discord staff hmmm no I didn't think so so let my staff do their jobs stop abusing your perms to remove servers and content because you guys don't like it

Howdy, hunterthewolf. When considering the addition of a feature to send a message to server staff when a message is reported on Discord, it's important to consider potential drawbacks and vulnerabilities that could be exploited by users. While the intention behind such a feature is to streamline the reporting process and improve moderation, there are several reasons why it could be problematic:
-
Spam Reports: By implementing this feature, there is a risk that some users may exploit it by repeatedly reporting messages, flooding the server staff with an excessive number of notifications. This could overwhelm the staff and make it difficult for them to effectively address genuine reports.
-
Time and Resource Constraints: Server staff members typically have limited time and resources to dedicate to moderation tasks. If they receive an overwhelming number of notifications due to spam reports, it can distract them from addressing genuine reports and other important responsibilities within the server.
-
Prioritization Challenges: The influx of spam reports can make it challenging for server staff to prioritize and address legitimate reports in a timely manner. Sorting through numerous reports to identify the genuine ones becomes more difficult, potentially leading to delayed responses and ineffective moderation.
-
Potential for Abusive Reporting: Introducing a reporting feature that notifies server staff may also create an avenue for abusive reporting. Some users may exploit this feature to harass or target other users by repeatedly reporting their messages, even if they are not violating any rules. This could lead to unjustified warnings, mutes, or bans for innocent users.
-
User Privacy Concerns: Reporting messages often involves sharing information about the reported content and the user who posted it. If these reports are automatically forwarded to server staff, it raises concerns about user privacy and the potential for sensitive information to be mishandled or exposed.
To mitigate these issues, it's important to carefully consider the design and implementation of any reporting feature. Implementing measures to prevent spam and abusive reporting, as well as providing sufficient resources for moderation, can help maintain a healthy and well-moderated server environment.
