Role-based Privacy Settings
A big issue I have with current privacy settings is that it's fairly all-or-nothing. I either have to approve friend requests to DM, or individually approve DM requests. This has the same issue to me as having DMs completely open, where people's requests will just get lost in an ocean of them.
I'd like to see role-based DM requests. Have a permission in role-settings on servers that functions as a "DM permission". All this permission would do, is separate these people from the masses when they request a DM to someone else in their server.
This would allow people to have "DM permissions off" for the majority of their server's users, but have staff, admins or donators for example with "DM permissions on".
This wouldn't have to allow them to DM you directly without request, but at least would *pin* their request as more important than others, or allow them to bypass the "prevent DMs from people you may not know" feature.
You'd be able to create server-specific lists of people you WANT to get DMs from, versus those you don't, assignable via a role. I would never have my admins, staff, or other important DM requests get lost again, but I'd still be protected from mass-spam from general users.
That's it!
