Account Hacked then banned
Hi,
I got a message from a friend to try out a game. It was a good friend so I thought nothing of it. The person asked me for 500 dollars or they will send explicit ILLEGAL pictures of children in to every server I was on. After changing my password and E-Mail adress he was still able to self report me via the website I believe. I don't know how he did it, but he did.
After sending in 2 tickets and messaging them on facebook and twitter. All the answers I got were "Your account violated our TOS, we will not unban your account.". Even though the tickets contained Screenshots
-of the person constantly harrassing me via my e-mail telling me "Only I can recover your account, message me if you want it back" basically mocking me and
-of evidence that it is in fact my account (screenshots of when I created it, what my name was, phone number, payment method, etc.) and I've had it for 5+ years with still a 6 months left of nitro on it.
I honestly don't know what to do from here. Theres so many precious pictures and all on my account. Is there anyone that got his account back? I just keep getting the bot messages and I'm just at a loss.

I completely understand what you are saying and agree wholeheartedly. Discord wants to keep everyone safe.
However it was not me who did that, and I doubt if I do ever get my account back, that this wouldn't happen again. Again It was the Hacker that threatend me to pay up, or else they would do that. I do not condone his actions and I have 0 tolerance against people who engage in that type of stuff. I completely distance myself with this type of stuff and don't ever wanna be involved in any of that.
Like I said, I understand their point of view, if it was me posting it, but it wasn't. I made a mistake trusting a very good friend who then a day later told me he has been hacked. Sadly it was too late and I had already downloaded the supposed "Game".
I do not say I am completely not at fault, I did fall for a trap even with the site looking all sketchy, but since it was a friend I trusted, I just overlooked that.
I've been on discord for 5+ years and I have never violated any of their TOS. There's never been any problems coming from me, or anyone reporting me for anything. I use it privately, am only on a few servers, and mostly use it to communicate with my friends, share pictures and just overall play games.
I doubt anything will come of this paragraph, I honestly just want to say I am sorry for downloading something I knew looked sketchy, and this coming of it, and probably some people on the servers I was on getting traumatized. That is if he actually went through with what he said, because all that got me banned was a self report by the hacker using the old e-mail I had attached to my discord account.
Sorry for the long text, I hope you do understand where I am coming from aswell.
