Suggestion: Enhancing Group Functionality and Boost Mechanism on Discord
Dear Discord Team,
I would like to propose some suggestions to enhance the functionality of Discord, specifically regarding the addition of main and subgroups, as well as improvements to the Boost feature. I have come up with two possible approaches:
Option 1:
Allow main groups to send invitations to other groups. Once the owners of those groups accept the invitations, the invited groups will become subgroups of the main group and share the Boost benefits. For example, if a main group has 60 Boosts, with 14 Boosts allocated for level three, the main group would retain 14 Boosts while the remaining 46 Boosts could be distributed among the subgroups.
Option 2:
Enable the creation of multiple subcommunities within a single group, similar to the "channels and roles" functionality. Users would have the ability to choose which subcommunity they wish to engage with, and the number of Boosts available would determine the addition of new subcommunities. For instance, if a group has 60 Boosts, with 14 Boosts required for level three, every 5 to 10 Boosts could unlock an additional subcommunity.
I propose these ideas because currently, the excess Boosts cannot be fully utilized and cannot be transferred to other groups owned by the same user. I hope that these new features can address this issue while also providing users with more options for selecting and managing their groups.
Lastly, I would like to make a personal request for your consideration to adjust the maximum capacity of groups. I want to express my gratitude to the Discord development team for providing such an excellent platform, and I appreciate your time in reviewing my suggestions.
Thank you sincerely,
