Was it someone pretending to be a friend asking you to test a game out for them?

I had the same thing happen. DISCORD really needs to be on top of this. While it is part user error, the fact that the Phising sceme can go on for weeks before resolve is concerning and leads to more victims over time. Even if it's 1 out of 100 it's still too much. It should be as soon as the account is notified to be hacked, it should automatically be restricted/disabled within 2-5 hours.

What's even worse is that you can push to change the email without having access to the email account. Once the email change is requested it should be flagged as need to verify. (Although i did end up going through a clean install on my PC just make sure the malware/phishing program was eradicated and changed email passwords to double up)

Also special question system should be added.

You're right. It's unbelievable that a big IT company like this doesn't take the security issues seriously. Hope they'll improve badly in the near future.

What's going to happen is it will take someone losing 1000+ or more in cash for them to take any necessary steps.

It's odd as much as we complain about EA/Ubisoft/Activision at least you know when your accr gets hacked. You'll get notified that the acct was suspended and investigation is ongoing with two weeks or less in recovering your acct. Discord….might as well pray.
