My account has been falsely disabled and Discord won't respond to me.
Hey all, posting this here since I've already tried opening multiple support tickets just for them to get closed within 30 minutes by a bot and when adding another comment it stays dead silent. I also tried reaching out for help on r/discordapp, but my post never got approved.
But enough about what I tried to do, right now I'm in desperate need of advice on what to do and could use some help of the community. My account was disabled on August 1st, 2023 at 01:23 (CEST, GMT+2). The reason for this punishment, according to Discord? “Your account participated in or promoted the automation of user accounts, also known as self-bots.”
In reality, however, I did nothing wrong. I thoroughly read the entire Terms of Service and Community Guidelines looking for a rule I could have broken on accident, but couldn't find anything that I did, was a part of or was associated with. I've received a punishment in the past with the exact same reason stated in the e-mail, which was about little more than a year ago. But that was because I messed around with a bot I shouldn't have messed around with, and luckily I got my account back that time. This time, however, I'm absolutely clueless about what I've possibly could've done wrong.
Considering that it's been almost 4 days since my account was suspended, any help would be appreciated because I really wouldn't like losing an account I've had for years that contain valueable contacts.

My account was just disabled for being underage because I was joking about my age in a server I own. Said I was 9 turning 10 in 80 months. Like bru, the moderation bots must be stupid or something. And support wont respond to me either.

Sorry to hear that, I'm honestly very disappointed in Discord. What I've always thought of as a great platform with excellent communities and moderation turned out to be a nightmare. It's very sad that's it's not just our, but tons of people's accounts that are disabled because of (lazy?) staff members. I'm very thankful that you wanted to share your situation considering this is an issue that appears to be happening a lot more often to various people. And in the end, despite losing things of importance that we can only access through Discord, at least we'll all be going down together. And we'll also know better; Discord is just a terrible platform nowadays…

Sorry I couldn't help with your issue, but hopefully it helps to know other ppl out there are dealing with the same type of bs. Hopefully we can both get our accounts back soon. Good luck.

Hey man, small update: my account was unfortunately permanently deleted. Didn't expect much else from a non-responsive staff team, but I suppose there's not much to do about it. I did end up creating a new account, but with minimalistic use in an attempt to avoid attaching too much value to my account this time. And I didn't have much choice considering the platform's features are fairly convenient. Besides, all my friends are still on there too. But don't get me wrong; the company is still terrible in my eyes.
