New usernames suck hella hard

The fine folks at discord encouraged me to do this after leaving a review of their service. I have nothing new to contribute that hasn't already been covered to heck and back in the link below, but who am I to not follow their request, when I am in fact quite peeved about the situation myself? https://support.discord.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/14337329256983

As you can see, the comments are right maxed out, and you know how it is in a classroom, for every one person who actually asks a question, you can bet a bunch more in the group are also wondering about the answer.

So, yeah. Discord thinks we're all just talking wallets (big surprise) and is gonna do their own thing no matter how asinine it is, but hey a dude's gotta try.

Oh and also my username was stolen by somebody who joined after me and despite both me and my mates feeling like I have a pretty solid piece of ground to argue from, support hasn't got back to me in over a month so y'know. Just venting at this point. Maybe several massive threads protesting their bullshit “we know what's best for you!” mentality will communicate the point better.

Honestly? Don't bother, and switch to something like Revolt where the devs and support team will actually lift a finger to help you. Try password recovery if you want but you don't need to look through many posts here to see the incredible number of people reporting higher support options as useless at best and maliciously unhelpful at worst.
