Tips for hacked and disabled accounts!
Hey guys! I saw that a lot of people have been posting that their accounts have been either disabled or hacked. I will tell you that posting on this feedback category won't really do anything (unless you are trying to warn other people about types of scams) Below this are some tips to get a decent chance at getting your account back and while you are waiting for a response!
1. Just make a ticket and wait. Discord support is known for being slow, so it might take 2 weeks to a month for them to respond. Just keep checking your ticket status and see if your ticket was assigned to anyone. Don't make multiple tickets because it will push you back into the queue.
2. Don't bug their Twitter (X) accounts. Discord and Discord Support (even their other ones) cannot help you with your hacked or disabled account. They only help with general questions like bugs, email verification errors/issues, connections outages/issues, etc. They cannot help with 2FA removal, lost account access, hacked accounts, disabled and banned accounts, TOS related questions, refunds, subscription cancellations, server owner transfer, server verification, phone verification, dev support, etc.
3 Put as much info you can put in your ticket, because it could help you out for your case.
4. If you have info such as cards linked to your account if you were hacked, call your bank and tell them to disable your card and make a new one. Hackers can buy nitro gifts to give to their main, which could be used for all sorts of things. If you don't have a card and one of your parent's cards are linked, tell your parents ASAP. I know you might be scared, but just tell your parents the problem and tell them to call their bank
Hope these help! Don't ask me to unban or recover your account, I am not an employee at Discord. I'm just a random person on the internet that had the same problem as other people.

Waiting two weeks to a month while a hacker runs rampant on your account is simply unacceptable! This is not a good policy, and it allows hackers to infect many others before anything is done.

By two weeks to a month, hackers can do irreparable damages to the account (for example DMing friends unsolicited stuff, offensive messages) making it seem like the original person was doing all of that. I personally think it should be improved so that people can get their accounts back before excess damage is done.

After two and a half months, I finally got a response. They told me that they had disabled the account for violating their terms, and they would not turn it back on. I've tried an appeal, but they're basically making me out like the bad guy, and there's nothing I can do. Way to go. Discord, Treating long term customers that have been paying for nitro since 2015 like a criminal.

Probably not, but it's not worth fighting legally. I probably paid them $400 for nitro and profile toys/enhancements. Not to mention the fact that my account was over 10yr old and had a # (Formally known as hash). And a early adopter badge. So because of the way they treated me, I will tell anybody who will listen to cancel their nitro!

yeah, I've tried putting in tickets but they all just get set as resolved EVEN WHEN I TOLD THEM THE HACKERS TRIED TO EXTORT NVD3S FROM ME! I have been a user for six years on that account (started in 2018), and honestly, as much as i love the app and all that, this behavior is unacceptable from staff.

I basically only love the app because that's where all my friends are. but I will never pay for Nitro based on the way they have treated me. My account was 10 years old and I had Early adopter badge and several profile things added! I was the victim and discord treated me like the bad guy!

Had someone compromise my account and spam everyone I know. They banned my account and didn't even explain why my account was banned. No warning no email. I tried contacting support and they just keeo giving me copy and past responses. I've just given up and switched to Revolt Chat.

PixeI8edPlayer what about the community that you left behind. Personally, I would love to do the same, but I have way too many friends on discord. There'd be no way I could get everybody to leave. Discord has a stranglehold on communities and they know it!

My account was compromised recently, on Monday April 22nd. I made a ticket that day and never got a response back. I made another ticket last night and still haven’t gotten a response. I had nitro for almost a year and a half and I was in many servers and had many friends. I had my acc since 2020 and that got taken away by some damn hacker. Now I’m not sure what to do as I’m waiting as patiently as I can but I’m worried the hacker is going to do bad things with my account. Can someone help me 😭

My account got compromised on 15th May,2024. Haven't got it back yet but Ill state a few thing that I came to know about hacked accounts that you have to keep eye on to get discord's attention.
1. Make sure you provide the email you currently can contact with in the email that they want at first. Give the hacker' or any other email and you'll keep waiting forever
2. Provide the email that your account was associated with in the next email option. They try to turn the account back to the email u type there. So it must be associated with the account.
3. Fill in the description with anything you can provide. Screenshots and whatever happened.
4. You should get an email about the issue from discord to which you can directly reply. They may not look into it but try doing it anyway.
5. YOU HAVE TO BE SIGNED IN TO THE DISCORD SUPPORT WEBSITE AND HAVE TO CHECK THE ACTIVITIES OPTION REGULARLY. MAKE SURE THE ISSUE YOU PROVIDED IS OPEN you can also contact discord through text there

I was kidding my friend saying to him that my age is 12 but my age actually was 13 but he reported and I got banned now i created a support ticket I got a response but not got my account unbanned so i emailed Discord's CEO to unban my account.

so i put in a ticket and my request was just closed. i got the typical just received email but i never got a response from the staff themselves, and i cant do a follow-up ticket. what should i do?

Only other thingsthing to do is to contact them on Twitter, unfortunately

And they'll ignore you or just send you a copy and paste response! Worst support on the planet!

yeah, I've been doing this for about 2 months already. only staff member that i know was really helpful was not even part of the team i needed.
