Forcing your users to use a completely new layout is a terrible move
I understand sometimes overhauls are necessary but this is not the case here and removing the option to keep the old layout is an extremely weird decision especially when the new layout is as clunky as it is.
It’s not just a question of “people hate new things, people hate change” no, it’s objectively terrible. I’ve been forced to use it for the last few hours now and I fail to see even a single positive feature it could’ve brought.
I legitimately want to stop using this godforsaken app now.

It feels really bad to use. I'm already bombarded with notifications in other apps, the little contextual ones were great and easy to access. This experience just feels really bad and unsettling to use. I hate tapping to get around now and as a power user I am extremely angry at how much extra friction requires to maintain multiple conversations.

Not to mention the change in colors! Dark mode is now much more saturated and is basically the same as midnight, and it's giving me a migraine even after only just a ccouple minutes of looking at messages.
