Horrible new UI

This mobile UI is ridiculously complicated and unintuitive. The old interface was simple and easy to use because it was legitimately just the desktop app on your phone. There was nothing wrong with it. Everything made sense and you could find things based on your knowledge of the desktop app.

Calls are horrendous. You forced streams to have a stupid green bar on top and it takes an even worse UI update to remove it? Turning from landscape to portrait view still breaks streams anyways like how it did on your old UI. And on top of that, swiping up brings up the call-specific chat now? You added in that feature for it to basically not be used because people have been making call-specific text channels for ages. When my friend swipes up, they get the old UI’s menu bars where screen share and the soundboard used to be, and I can’t even begin to understand why they’re different between us. The in-call colors are just the instagram logo colors despite discord never having a color palette like this, and I didn’t even think to look for the tiny speaker button at the top right corner of the screen. There’s no intuitive notion that screen share would be hidden away in the activities button, so it makes no sense why it’s there.

The pins are hidden in such a weird place I didn’t even know where to look. When I access the pins from the channel name(??) the pins channel doesn’t even show the pinned images, but when I click on ‘see all pinned messages’ after someone pins something, I can see all of the images just fine. Seeing the images was half the fun but apparently I can’t see them now.

In DMs, pinned messages and search results all say that the other person said everything. This makes it ridiculously hard to find things and it’s clearly broken and not supposed to look like this. Unless I’m wrong, then that’s even worse.

Please change it back, there was no point.

Adding into that, it’s a lot harder to find messages if you don’t even remember where you sent or said something. Having categories for searches that you could input yourself was already useful, but now I’m restricted to one channel at a time which is useless if you can’t remember too many specifics on the thing you’re looking for.

It seems like a good change to me. But, what I do find super uncomfortable is that I cannot see the list of users connected to a server just by swiping to the right.In the previous version it was possible to swipe to reply to a message and also swipe to view the connected ones. I also find it very useful to be able to see the files that were sent in a channel.
