Option to hide Unread badge on little-used servers

Please add a way to disable the Unread badge on little-used servers. This could be tied to muting a server, or it could be controlled by a separate toggle. Either way, the current behavior leaves a serious hole in Discord's accessibility settings.

I like the fact that Discord has an Unread badge; it's an important feature for seeing when I have unread messages to check. However, it defeats the purpose of this feature when group pings from muted servers still contribute to my unread count, even with notifications turned off.

I want to know when I have unread messages from friends and more important servers, but Discord insists on counting the number of muted @everyone/@here pings I've received lately. When 10 different servers ping @everyone, Discord counts them all as unread messages even if I've muted them and disabled notifications. This creates a Boy Who Cried Wolf situation and hides the meaningful Unread count under a mountain of noise.

First and foremost, I use Discord for communicating with close friend groups. I want to know how many unread messages I have from them, but I can't see that number because it's overwhelmed by all the noise. I've been forced to leave multiple servers because of this.

A note for any product managers reading this: I repeat that I have actually left servers because they were inflating my Unread count too much. I also know for a fact that many others have done the same; Discord is actually losing engagement due to this missing accessibility feature.

I'm aware that this issue has been reported multiple times in the past, but these requests have been ignored for years. It seems time to mention the problem anew.

I also leave servers because of this. Which is unfortunate because these are servers I do like to check in on now and then. Having them in my list, even muted, makes the unread message count useless unless I take the time to read every ping.

Thank you for filing new feedback on this issue! It really needs to be addressed, it has been an issue for far too long.
