Separately-Scrolling Columns Trigger Migraines
Discord's user settings use separately-scrolling columns.
I've given up on the rest of Discord, so I don't know what else uses separately-scrolling columns.
It's a common web design trend, so I've had a lot of bad experiences with this elsewhere.
In my experience, if there's a clear separation between columns, and I can page down in each column, and if I can reduce the frame rate enough when I have to scroll, I can avoid most of the migraines.
In my experience, if there's no separation, and I can't page down, I can't avoid the migraines.
The good:
I can use the Appearance settings to set contrasting colors for each column. That's *some* visual separation.
The bad:
Initially, I'm stuck with dark mode for both columns, and have to find the Appearance settings to get contrasting colors for each.
The 2 columns are right next to each other. If there were some distance, and/or there were some way for user css to create some distance that would add a lot more visual separation.
There's no vertical separator between the columns. If there were, it would also add more visual separation.
It doesn't respond to Page Up and Page Down keys. If it did respond to these, that would help users with trouble using mice, and if it did respond without animation, that would help skip some of the scrolling.

I edited the title, sure. But if you read what I wrote, I really really doubt you could interpret that as an ad for anything.
