Image resolution in Gallery and List view in Forums

The images shown in Gallery view are not having the same aspect ratio as in List view. 
We upload one image, and then it gets either cropped in Gallery view, which looks absolutely terrible, or, it gets cropped in List view. Or worse, cropped in both! 
On top of that, images are not being centered, so if we make an image in 4:3 aspect ratio, with transparent background, and inside of it the actual image being 1:1, it still gets cut off, despite that this should work if discord would center these images in the previews. 

But my proposition is even simpler. Why not simply use a 1:1 aspect ratio for both Gallery and List view in the forum? Then no matter how users sort their view, they will always have full, uncropped images displayed.
