What Countries Is Discord Banned In?

Discord is banned in:

  • Oman
  • Iran
  • Mainland China
  • United Arab Emirates
  • North Korea

While these countries have banned Discord, many Discord users continue to access the platform illegally.

In this article I’ll go over why Discord is banned in some of these countries as well as how citizens in these countries are still able to access Discord.

 

Is Egypt Banned On Discord?

As of March of last year, Egypt is no longer banned in the whole of the country. Instead, it has been changed to only being censored in cities such as Giza and Luxor.

Countries like China, the UAE, North Korea, Iran, and Oman are still notorious for being banned and their strict censorship regulations.

Users have reported still getting banned though being in neighboring cities so keep aware of that.

 

How can I bypass the ban?

Bypassing restrictions from your country is an illegal activity and should not be done. If you do get wrongfully terminated, there are a few ways to make a new account.

  • VPNS.
  • Going to another country.

These are the 2 most popular ways of bypassing a ban. I do not recommend doing it though as it may get you terminated.

    This is not true. Discord was never banned in Egypt, neither in certain cities.
