Blurry Text, Needs Custom Font Support / And Text fade In
The Issue:
- I suffer with vision problems and the font is sometimes blurry or looks doubled to me. I've noticed on my computer when I force websites to use a font I choose then I can more easily see text. Preferably bold fonts with serifs, and slightly larger monospace/spacing letters. It helps me considerably.
Conclusion: If discord gives users the ability to insert their own fonts they can not only stylize their experience on the website client-side. But also massively increase accessibility issues for people like me. Though I do imagine this would be very difficult to implement for iOS and Android devices. Might need an inbuilt discord font selection for these devices.
- Additional Suggestion: I'd like for there to be an option for text to fade in when posted by other users or when moving between pages, or when the webpage/app is moving down to show now posts as they happen. Even perhaps slowing the scroll to be easier on the eyes. I'm someone who also suffers dizziness, and a little vertigo and confusion when a bunch of texts appear on screen.
I have no idea how hard/easy this would be to implement either
In either case. I will be very happy to hear feedback on how I might deal with this myself. Like if there's a 3rd party software/website which can do this for me on the Windows app.
And I wish to clarify that simply making the font bigger does not help with my sight issues. The core issue is kerning, font width, and lacking serifs which help identify letters. And my idea it can also help not trigger vertigo when text pops in and drags view downward.

Solution for Blurry Text and Accessibility Needs
Custom Font Support:
To address the issue of blurry text, Discord could offer an option for users to choose their own fonts. This would help people with vision problems by allowing them to select fonts that are bold, have serifs, and are spaced out. This customization could be implemented in the settings, enabling users to pick from a variety of fonts that suit their needs.
Text Fade-In and Smooth Scrolling:
For users who experience dizziness or vertigo, Discord could introduce a text fade-in option. This would make new text appear gradually, reducing the sudden visual changes that can cause discomfort. Additionally, implementing smoother, slower scrolling could help minimize the disorienting effect of fast-moving text.
Third-Party Solutions:
While waiting for Discord to implement these features, users can explore third-party software or browser extensions. Tools like "Stylus" or "CustomCSS" allow users to customize the appearance of websites, including changing fonts and adjusting text display settings. These can be configured to use preferred fonts and add effects like text fade-in, making the browsing experience more comfortable.
By allowing custom fonts and text fade-in options, Discord can enhance accessibility and provide a better user experience for those with vision problems or vertigo. Regarding Multipack uae
