Concerns about Discord's Age Verification Process
Hello Discord Community,
I'm writing to express some concerns I have about the age verification process on Discord. I'm an existing user who is currently going through the verification to confirm my age, but I'm hesitant about one of the required steps.
Specifically, Discord is asking me to submit scanned copies of identification documents, including a photo ID like a birth certificate. This is understandable, as I want to ensure I'm able to access the appropriate content and features on the platform.
However, Discord is also requiring that I include a photo of my face alongside the scanned documents. I have significant privacy and security concerns about having to expose my personal facial identity in this way, especially when sharing sensitive identification information.
I wanted to reach out to the Discord community to see if others have faced similar issues, and to ask if there may be alternative verification methods available that don't require a facial photo. Perhaps there are ways I can redact or obscure sensitive details on the documents while still completing the process.
My goal is to find a solution that allows me to verify my age without compromising my personal privacy. I'm happy to work with Discord to explore options, but wanted to first see if the community had any advice or insights to share.
Thank you in advance for any help or guidance you can provide. I appreciate Discord's efforts to ensure a safe and age-appropriate platform, but I want to ensure the protection of my data and identity as well.
Sincerely

Я думаю нужно во второй руке держать листок с надписью DISCORD. Таким образом никто не сможет её использовать к примеру для авторизации в банке
