Came here to say the same. This makes discord a significantly worse hub for airsoft communities. These are perfectly legal sales and trades and seriously makes me and other airsofters consider switching back away from discord to forums and facebook groups.

Adding onto this - Discord, please look into the airsoft buy/sell/trade restrictions on your platform. There is a huge community here that will suffer with the lack of options for BST.

I currently utilize the platform for local trades and purchases. With these changes Airsofters will need to resort to online platforms filled with scammers and children who are not healthy for the community. In Discord it was easy to verify members and keep track of reputable players. Please allow Airsoft communities to buy sell and trade again on the platform I've used for almost a decade.

Airsoft communities on discord will suffer a lot from these rule changes, without a good way to buy/sell/trade (and soon probably discuss or instruct basic maintenance) most of these places will lose their usefulness.

If this doesn't change back and allow airsoft communities to operate like before (b/s/t gear and toys crucial for the hobby) I am certain many of these communities will migrate to alternative platforms

Airsoft discord servers used to be very good community hubs for the hobby, and it's a completely legal, fun and healthy hobby

Living in Japan, where airsoft was invented, tactical gear is not regulated, and airsoft guns are only regulated by a national velocity limit, with no political or social issues surrounding the hobby whatsoever, it is absolute hogwash to implement such zero-tolerance, Americentric rules on a global scale.

Also, what defines “tactical gear”? Does my backpack having MOLLE straps on it make it “tactical”? Will I be banned for wanting to sell my old surplus boots? What if I were to sell a bump helmet? They're effectively the same thing as skateboard helmets, just with a camo paintjob. And if that IS in fact disallowed, then does that mean that a camouflage design automatically makes something “tactical”? And if that's not the case, then what is? Is it the different chinstrap? If so, does that mean that my WH40K cosplay helmet with a military-style chinstrap counts as “tactical gear”? I could go on and on, and I haven't even started on the main issue yet! Discord devs are once again making dumb decisions in order to look more “professional”, even though nobody in their right mind would use Discord in such a setting, all while alienating their original user base. Watch, within 5 years, Discord will either have been acquired by Microsoft, or it'll pull a tumblr and completely implode. OR, the secret third option, both.
