Additional Nitro Tiers
Would it be possible to have an additional Nitro tiers for those that do not care about most of the current features added by a Nitro subscription?
From my perspective the main draw/service provided by Discord is access the the various servers available. A number of the supposed “upgrades” provided by subscribing to Nitro are almost purely cosmetic, and of no real use or benefit for those that have no reason to pay attention to them.
For me the only real benefit to Nitro should/would be access to an increased server limit, with the other features remaining as additional perks for those that want them as appropriate to the tier level.
None of the other features interest me at all.
- i rarely use uploads
- i do not use emojis
- i rarely use reactions, unless forced to by some verification method
- i do not care about badges or my profile customization (nice, but by no means essential)
- and so on...
Almost every feature on the list is of no, or conditional, use to me outside of the increased server limits.
Given the sheer number of communities available on Discord, pretty much any user would be able to come up with 200 servers they would want to join, and that is the maximum available at the current highest subscription tier.
Before even looking into the Nitro options i was more than willing to get at least the Basic tier only to find out it added absolutely nothing of benefit to me since it did not include a sever limit increase at all.
I feel the current maximum server limits for paid tiers should be increased, with some additional range of increase (e.g. 50 - 100) available per $ amount between free and the maximum tier intervals (e.g. $1 per range of server increase up to (or beyond?) available tier level(s)).
i feel additional tiers, or other incremental options for server limit increases, would open more possibilities to contribute to Discord while not feeling like you are paying for things that are not relevant to some users tastes.
This could potentially lead to a far better user conversion rate given the current inconvenient methods of working around these limits being either "server musical chairs" (delete one, add one, repeat…) and/or multiple accounts.
Hopefully i have explained my position clearly enough.
Thanks in advance.
