i think the # option is not very convenient. So i come up with a solution and that is a search tool that help you to know every people with that name. This prevent when 2 people want to be friends on discord but the one person don't remember their #4digits they can search for name and find the account

It was ideas of others to remove them, thus not allowing duplicate (custom) names... But seems it just works fine the way it is. If you want to befriend someone, make sure they also throwh those #numbers in so you have that 1 unique account.
