Spotify/Discord on mobile

i have found my pants!!!
I use exclusively the mobile versions of Discord and Spotify (iOS), and would love it if a feature was made that allowed Discord to show what I was listening to on Spotify.

    If I'm understanding you correctly, I *believe* it's available at least in alpha on android. If you're in Discord Testers (https://discord.gg/discord-testers) the most recent in #android-announcements mentions native Spotify statuses, you just have to make sure to enable "Device Broadcast Status" in the Spotify app

    This sounds like the Spotify Status feature which has recently been added to the Android Alpha as of 8.2.2 to let people road test it, and I would imagine that it will get released to everyone soon. I'm currently listening to a song right now on my phone which has the Android Alpha and it's being detected correctly everywhere.

    I know someone on android that this works with, so it would be really cool if this could be for IOS too, because that's what I use, and I'm sure a lot of others would be happy too, if this happened...

    It's been a couple of years since Spotify's debut on Discord platform. Now that I'm starting to use it more often at work, I wish it had this compatibility, in fact I think it should've been implemented at this point in time.

    I've been wanting this for a long time. I've submitted a request for it too, but I don't know what ever happened to it. But I know it's still not a feature. But I use an IOS device, and it doesn't work, but I think it does for Android.

    Please! This is something I've been looking for since I started using discord on iOS exclusively. I listen to music for hours a day, I want people to see what I'm listening to!

    I asked support about this and was told to go and upvote suggestions for it so here I am.

    I suspect it’s actually not even possible on iOS due to sandboxing. It appears that on Android this feature uses a setting that allows Spotify to tell other apps what it’s doing, but on iOS apps don’t have as much freedom to talk to each other.

    Would be great to at least hear some feedback from Discord given it’s been two years since this feature was added to the Android app.

    Edit: Scratch that. As soon as I open Discord on desktop it does now show what I'm playing on Spotify. I don't even have Spotify installed on my desktop so the connection clearly works. So bizarre that it doesn't work with just the Discord iOS.

    i don’t have the device status broadcast button on my spotify. i use an iphone x with spotify premium, i don’t know whether i have to change settings or something but i seem to have tried almost everything and it’s not working. it did briefly work but it stopped.
