Ability To Mute Stream/Screenshare Without Muting the Person
The ability to mute a person's stream would be helpful if some people want to watch/listen to a stream (screenshare) while others do not. Streaming audio can also be annoying. You'd either have to deafen yourself or mute the person. But then you cannot hear them speaking. I think it would be a helpful quality of life improvement. Would be great for group calls.
(Also, I know screenshares don't usually produce audio)

I'd like to have this, too. A friend of mine is always streaming his games for us, but sometimes I just want to watch videos or something and I have to mute everything to not hear the stream...

Have the person you are watching stream go to > more stream share options > volume slide to 0. You can hear them speak without having to listen to their game etc.

Ya, but the problem with that is that those who want to listen to the stream then can't, and the person streaming doesn't always want to do that.

Please implement this feature. Having a call and someone deciding to share their screen but not being able to mute the sound output gets highly annoying.
Thank you!1 -

Disabling video does not give any hit that you also muted their audio. It doesn't show the muted mic logo. I actually disabled someone's video because it was distracting and had no idea I had muted them for like 10 minutes. It doesn't make sense for these to be tied together. Why am I forced to see someone's video if I have to be in a discord channel with them? This is just infuriating, at the very least it should work like deafen, where it shows muted and deafened, it should show video and mic disabled if the client is indeed doing both, but it really should be an either or choice.

For anyone who sees this later and wants to know how to do it, you can do it now by right-clicking on the stream and clicking mute
