Can clear channel instead of dupe it and delete the first one.

    1. get a discord bot
    2. delete and recreate the channel

    it takes literal seconds to fix permissions on a channel.

    You can always remove all the perms of the role or kick the bot and reinvite it without perms

    I would also be in favor of an option for admins/mods to archive a channel. The history remains, but even those new to the channel would start with everything since the last archiving. Of course they could expand the archive to see the obsolete posts.

    Delete messages to zero: to avoid creating “long” channels, just right-click the channel (where the list of channels is) and select “Clone channel”! Then after that, delete the old channel (if there are no messages). Rus: Удалить сообщения до нуля: чтобы избежать создания «долгих» каналов, просто щелкните правой кнопкой мыши канал (где находится список каналов) и выберите «Клонировать канал»! Затем после этого удалите старый канал (если сообщений нет).

    i know this is an old but deleting the channel doesn't work with some bots as you have to go into the bots settings/dashboard and setup all the channel links/permissions again as most bots use channel id and not the @name. so deleting a channel to clear it is an obsolete way of clearing a channel of all history. We really need a clear channel command to reset the channels chat back to the start with nothing stored

    I agree with Zeather_Kalvar. Cloning the channel does not clone the Channel ID, and everything has to be reconfigured. Either allow bots to purge further than 14 days or give the option natively.
