Group Management
Hi, I think it would be great for discord to have a better group management. A lot of times people get on a group call for something and next day they do it again and again and again with different people, they don't actually want to keep that group once they've left it and personally I keep having notifications, lots of them of groups where friends are leaving the group, because they want to get rid of the group, obviously they dont do it all at the same time so I get many of these. I would recommend to have a setting, that would allow the user to decide how far back he wants to keep a group active, let's say I select 2 days. If for 2 days there is no activity (by activity I mean either someone joining call on that group or typing something in chat). If by any chance a user creates a group that they want to persist, then they could have override settings on specific groups, the general settings would still exist but that group would have a setting as well to override it to say that I dont want this group to ever by removed. This might not be a great solution I must admin but as it stands right now I know for a fact I am not the only one who is annoyed by this. Another option would also be to just remove groups completely. When I make a call with a couple of friends I don't want a group. If I did I would look for something that explicitly said to create a group with a particular set of people, something like this would probably be better but more work for the developers to do. This would mean that we would be able to, for example, not be using a server, but have an extra "thing" that instead of displaying the list of servers on the left we could press something that would switch between a list of servers or a list of groups, this is where you would create a group as well, just like you create a server on the server list, by pressing the "+".
