Intelligent notifications based on recent activity

The problem:

I am part of several Discord servers that have many channels for various topics, so keeping up with even a few requires complicated notification settings and can actively tax my focus when I set all notifications to "on."

To avoid the difficulty of switching them on and then back off when I'm done socializing (or simply don't care about the ongoing conversation) I default to Mute all but @mentions, which prevents me from staying on top of a conversation thread.

Idea:

• A setting where notifications after I have not posted in the channel for awhile.
• Allow the user to set the interval (10-60 minutes might be the variability based on my own observation of different conversations). 
• Allow the user to decided if @mentions reset the interval or not
