Connect the same account, twice, to the same call
I'd like to be able to run two instances of the same account, on different devices, and connect both to the same call. I can currently do this on Skype. The feature as I see it is as such:
I don't have a webcam, but I do have a laptop with a camera. However, my desktop has better audio and a much bigger screen. I'd like to be able to use my laptop to send a video feed while I use my desktop for voice and make use of its much larger screen real estate (it's easier on the eyes when you have more than one person in a VOIP call).
At the very least, it'd be nice to be able to use one instance to send video AND audio and be able to *see* the call on a separate instance of discord on a separate device. I can currently run two instances concurrently, but I'm unable to send two audio streams from separate devices. This seems like an unnecessary limitation.

I like the idea, may put some strain on your network and Discord's servers, but it would be nice to have!

That feature would be great!

I want to do this exact setup as well. Did you find a way to get it to work?

Yes, exactly! This is what we need. Here is a similar feedback post: https://support.discord.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/360051191494-Join-calls-from-multiple-devices
If this was working, I could view streams or stream myself using my computer while speaking on my phone. Not currently possible.
For me personally, I primarily use my computer, but I have no headset/microphone (can't afford). I do have a phone with a microphone though that I use. But if I'm on my phone I can't make use of any sound on my computer and no streams either. So I would like to cross-use discord with my phone and my computer. This way I can make use of my headphones without a microphone on my computer, and use my phone as the microphone and still hear in-game sound and my buddies on discord.
I hope you could fix this, there are more with this problem!

I'm in the same situation; it'd be great to use the mic on my phone, while listening to/hearing people on my desktop. Any luck?
(I'm currently doing this using my girlfriend's account on my desktop & mine on my phone. Both for Zoom and Discord.)2 -
I'd happily pay cash for this 'upgrade' if it's hard on your servers.

I think the best thing to do right now is make 2 discord accounts and make the info as similar to each other as you can.
Just until DIscord can made an update to have the same account on the call 2 or more times like you can do on zoom.

I wish discord would support this. Been doing this at work for years now. Joining the presentation on my computer and joining the call from my phone (the app, not dial in). Used to do this back in the day when Skype was a thing and keep doing this now that my company is working with teams.
I’d love to be able to do this on discord! Share my game on my computer (or watch someone share his), but joining the call with the discord app on my phone!
Please make this a reality!

I really hope this ends up becoming a thing at some point.. I keep wanting to call my friends and stream a game on my PC, but my mic doesn't work, so I want to use the mic on my phone!
If this could happen at some point, I would LOVE it!3 -
Thank you for contacting Discord about this.

This would be a great feature in the age of Discord streaming, I frequently want to join via 2 devices to use a separate camera or offload stream watching to my iPad, etc.
You can do this in Microsoft Teams and it works great, using a second account is subpar, especially if you're paying for Nitro on your main account.1 -
Hi
Sometimes when I stream, I just want to, idk, go to the kitchen or on a break but still be in the call. Only possibility currently is to connect with the phone, kicking everyone off my stream.
Even Teams, the worst of the worst, has this feature where you can choose to transfer the call or add the device to the call.
Please add this.
