Add bot as friend

I think it could be great to have the possibility to add bot as friend like that, we could have DM with the bot without being on the same server or have "Allow DM" activated.
Maybe it look useless said like this, but, it would add the possibility to have bots on discord that are like bots on Messenger, and I think it's really useful.

    Perhaps more appropriate would be making it so you can DM a bot regardless of whether or not you share a server?

    This would be a nice feature as if I wanted to close my dms but wanted to get messages from bots at the same time, I CANT BECAUSE I CANT FRIEND THEM!

    The bot accept the friend requests automatically.

    Examples:
    To receive bot notifications without the Allow DM of the server enabled.

    To receive bot notifications without some Discord Server added.

    Add bot musics on call of DM Groups.

    I think this would be a really nice feature. There could also be multiple ways bots accept friend request, like through the API, or the app page. This could be used for things like simple games, reminders or other crud that would be stupid to create an entire server just to do

    Discord could even just add in an extra setting for user that allows you to have DM's turned off for user but not bots.

    I agree with the person who says that people who have their settings so they can only DM friends, can DM any Discord bot

    I agree because you can log in as bots. Also in bot settings, you should be able to add json code files to code bots and keep them online 24/7.

    WoodChuck that depends on your vps, you can use keepalive when developing a bot or use an always online vps

    The way bots would manage friend requests is through the Discord API. Bots could also send friend requests. The boys would receive gateway events on received friend requests and accepted friend requests. I believe in full feature parity between bot accounts and regular user accounts.
