We want regional nitro prices!
AbgeschlossenWe want to support our favorite messenger!
But we can not!
Why can not we support our favorite messenger!?
Because it is too expensive for us!
The cost of an annual subscription, translated into rubles, will be about 3.2 thousand. The average salary in my region is 18-20 thousand per month. No, I'm not complaining and not trying to cause pity. I want to point out that you will LESS the opportunity to receive support, simply because people cannot pay that kind of money. Of course, I don’t feel sorry for buying for myself once a year, a game worth as GTA5 or RE2, but in our steam region, they cost 2,000 rubles.
Technical support sent me here to write this post and I write it with a proposal to make the cost of an annual subscription stable, at 2000 rubles (For a subscription without access to games) And believe me, this will increase the number of subscribers, because even among my friends, there is Quite a lot of people who would be willing to support you if the price of this were relevant for our region.
Give us the opportunity, support you, and we support!
(OK, yes, throw stones at me and your disadvantages, I just voice the majority opinion. I’m not interested in politics and currency fluctuations. I just want my friends and I to have the opportunity to buy the subscription we’re used to adequate cost)

I agree to that regional pricing is needed to increase the love for discord and nitro.

I agree too.

I completely agree. I just started to use free month of Discord Nitro and I am extremely happy with its features. But as a student who lives in Turkey I can not afford that price.

There is regional price for Russia, Discord Nitro is 899₽ and that comes to.... 12$ so regional price is MORE than paying the regular price.
2 -
They did regional prices for Russia. And made them higher that before... No way I'm buying nitro now. It's way too expensive. And now, I don't think they would change anything.

Regional pricing for countries with high inflation? Now I can disagree.
The reason being that e.g. Venezuelans have a hardship between oil exports, locals and the government. Inflation in Venezuela exceeded 1.6 million percent in 2018, and in April 2021, one bolívar (unit of their currency) has devalued itself to less than 1/2,000,000 of a US dollar. Hence many shops in Venezuela have switched to using US dollars. However, the switch was made only for cash payments because the amounts on Venezuelans' bank accounts cannot be denominated in US dollars, as it is not the official currency of Venezuela.
The times of hyperinflation in Yugoslavia also had a similar system. To lower costs of updating price tags, some often priced goods and services in boda (points). One bod was actually often equal in value to a unit of hard currency, such as the Deutsche Mark (which was one of the currencies before euro banknotes and coins were produced).
For Discord, having people to pay in their currency would mean Discord could lose a lot of money because of the costs to supply a foreign currency.-6 -
They will lose more money if people don't subscribe.

By that logic, Russia, which is Steam's third biggest market, is losing them money because of regional pricing, which is obviously utter nonsense. If Discord made their subscription affordable to lesser income countries, that'd net them big profits and ultimately benefit everyone.

I was wrong, there is no regional price on pc. There IS on android (it's more than the normal price), probably because google play required to set it.

Since I live in Turkey, I have to pay 7-8 times more for the subscription fee, but if these costs or subscriptions were shaped by country, nitro or subscriptions could be received by many more people. I also believe that Discord subscription earnings will increase even more.

Twitch is doing exactly this, they've conducted regional pricing tests here in Brazil, where a subscription normally costs around R$23, setting them at R$6. According to them streamer revenue and subscriber count more than doubled. I myself had to drop Nitro because of the increasing costs of living (inflation) and the global economic crisis we've entered. Seeing how this has been here for 2 years and nothing came of it, I don't expect Discord to listen, but perhaps if other players in the tech industry adopt it to positive results, they might consider.

I Hope we got it in Vnd :)

In Turkey 9.99 is very expensive. Follow Twitch's example and bring regional pricing to Nitro please.

Dear Discord Team ,
Millions of player or user , using discord in Turkey but Turkish Lira - Dolar currency imbalance really big problem for us.A normal discord nitro price is 10 dolar but 10 dolar is almost 100 Turkish lira. This price is really high for our country terms.A hope you consider our tickets. Thanks for your helping.

I'd love to be able to support Discord and use all the sweet server-emojis but the price is just unreasonably high. Please, consider making regional prices! <3

I wouldn't wanna pay more than a twitch sub to nitro. Twitch sub in Turkey costs 9.99 TL at the moment with regional pricing. 15 TL for nitro is too much in my opinion as I mostly want it for emotes and not much else.

YESSSS, make the pricing equitable to other countries with low purchasing power just like how Steam adjusts the pricing for their games (i.e. games are more expensive in the US vs. Philippines). And you'll gain more subscribers because of this.
I can't believe this has been an issue for years, but Discord is not willing to listen.
Regional pricing for SEA please!

it is more appropriate to have a reserved amount for each nation/user.

Good news! Nitro subscription prices in Brazil (at least) were localized, Nitro went from ~R$53 to R$24 and Classic from ~R$25 to R$12.49. Also it used to be billed in $ instead of R$ so there were extra charges.
This is a great surprise

At last! The nitro price has been reduced! https://support.discord.com/hc/pl/articles/4407269525911

Why such a limited selection of countries though? You know there are other countries with economies that can't afford paying the money for nitro which let's be honest isn't even worth its price. Polish price is now for example is half the russian one while Polish GDP per capita is higher. It's 3 times as cheap in Turkey which has the same purchasing power.

And still no answer from discord, they are ridiculous.

Its easy to fix the issue with the VPNs. Just add a requirement if you want to purchase with a price thats less than 5 dolars that you need to verify your citizenship in the country

Came here looking for this because I have finally decided to let go of nitro. I was buying it solely to boost my server, but even that doesn’t seem like good enough reason to support such expensive prices anymore. Nitro for one month costs me MORE than the price of my monthly internet at 150mbps fibrenet unlimited downloads in my country. To begin with, nitro doesn’t offer me anything of value except the boosts (I don’t care much for emotes and even if I did the price tag is crazy just for the ability to use emotes). If discord ever decides to do regional pricing I will consider re subscription, but for now it’s substantial amount of money waste per year for no good reason.

Good idea! I want to support discord, but it's to expensive for Ukraine! Add regional prices to CIS please!
