make a repo that Linux users can point their package managers to for updates rather than a website

let's face it, the current solution for "major" updates is kind of annoying, so therefore I propose that you guys create an FTP server, I guess, where users can point their package mangers to for updates (for example, see Brave Browser's Linux install instructions).
