Add quoting

Why is it that Discord still does not have the option for me to actually quote posts, I've had to use code blocks for years which isn't fun. I tried enabling developer mode so I can link straight to the posts but that's ugly and most people don't click the links anyway. I think Discord recently added meme arrows > so I can fake greentext post in Discord but this still isn't actual "QUOTING".

Skype had quoting for years and its garbage, so, why can't the comparatively superior Discord program handle quoting? Is it because of the massive database scale Discord uses? What's the big idea pal?

I would love to be able to respond to 8+ hour old posts my friends make and it would neatly notify everyone in chat who I am responding to, when their post was made, what they posted, etc., all wrapped neatly into some funky little quote block. Maybe even has their name/role color in the quote block too for easy readability.
