Quiet Hours
As many others chat based applications I would have expected Discord to have this feature in which you can set up a time window From - To in which you suppress notifications.
Considering that Discord is built to allow a user to have multiple servers, notifications become quite overwhelming, especially when communities are on different timezone.
This feature could be iterated like this:
Phase 1 - Account wide quiet hours:
- Given a time window:
-- Suppress everything
-- Suppress everything except @mentions
Phase 2 - Account wide quiet hours:
Improvement on the previous phase:
- Given a time window:
-- Suppress everything except this white-list of users
Edit: Simplified

I'm surprised this hasn't gotten more upvotes. I can't be the only one who is tired of his East coast friends starting up conversations at 6AM local time.

Worse is that you can find other suggestions like this but they go on rambling about some weird or absurd request to fix the "notifications annoys me".
What we need is even just a "don't bother me in this time window" to begin with. The advanced functionalities can not even come / come later.

I’m genuinely surprised that Discord doesn’t have this by now. Slack has it, Teams has it, why can’t Discord?
Having a time range to suppress notifications globally can’t be that hard to implement.

Just here to second this and promote that it's something sorely needed for servers spanning multiple time zones.

Please add this feature.

Stop interns from sending me notifications at 9:49 pm please.

It seems like at an obvious feature for an app so often used to bring international individuals together. I think it could gain traction if the right people at Discord look into it. I can picture the one naysayer now: "It's easy, you can just mute each server for 8 hours before you go to bed each night. Now let me be so I can go back to working on making emote reactions appear even smaller." :-p
