Add Apple CarPlay and Android Auto feature

I think it would be super handy if you had an Apple CarPlay or android Auto feature to change voice channels and scroll through servers you’re invited on and see their channels and join them.

    As long as it is only for voice calls and not viewing chat, I'd be okay with this. Keep your eyes on the road.

    Of course. The only thing I could even think would be if you included the read out accessibility feature. But yeah definitely only voice channels no chat.

    I would also like Discord voice chat to be added to Android Auto / Apple CarPlay! Just start the car version of the app with a user's list of servers. They could just tap one and join it. Could be faster than making a phone call!

    I think that a clean and Simple interface for audio calls only, no chat, nothing francy would really be usefull

    I would like messages on discord to show like a text on android auto so I can tell it to read out a message

    Definitely would love to see this even if just limited to private one-one-one/group chats and have the functionality mimic the existing text/messaging functionality in CarPlay/AA. This would at least be the primary use for me personally as it has largely replaced text messaging for those I have friended on Discord. Interacting with server channels is a little less important and I imagine would be a little more cumbersome to set up for in-car use.

    Hopefully giving this a bump. This would be awesome and make my life so much easier. I do agree on having it only for voicechats for safety reasons. Awesome idea!

    I have good news for you all!

    Discord is now available for Android Auto, but not for Apple Carplay.

    When you receive a message from someone somewhere (it does not matter that it is in a channel or dm etc.)  in Discord, you can reply with the Google Assistant.

    I only do not know if you can send messages or call someone with the Google Assistant.

    You have to figure that out.

    would absolutely love compatibility with text and voice calls to be treated like normal texts and incoming out/going calls.  - Some of the functionality exists, but it varies in effectiveness by vehicle/system version; for example some automobile systems just treat all of “Discord” as a call app so to show the car a voice call has ended, you must fully close the discord app instead of just exiting the call.  Siri/Assistant integration for texts would also need similar tweaks to drive into a server then  find the appropriate channel similar to texting based on hierarchy.  OR simply a way to mark a select number of channels as “mobile favorites” so you can text in those by applying nicknames similar to a normal contact.
