Update the account verification system to accommodate for Discord's developing niche

Hi Discord, I have a suggestion for your account verification system!

During quarantine I have been using discord a lot more to keep in touch with everyone. I have two discord accounts, one for my online friends and one for my college life. Unfortunately, my clients were locked out of the blue and I can’t have both of them verified by phone at the same time!

Given that most users have already had multiple clients at some point, but it is so difficult to verify them, I believe the discord community would be very pleased with an update to the verification process.

Have you thought about allowing 2-3 client accounts to be linked to a single phone number? I understand the concern with bot and spam accounts, however, the blacklisting of phone numbers coupled with the prohibition of burner/prepaid/etc. numbers already tackles the issue. In the unlikely event that a real phone number is used to create a spam account, the number should simply be blacklisted. Doing this will eliminate any other possible spam accounts attached to the number, without any additional investigation required. So ultimately, there is no net loss introduced by this change.

I think implementing this concept would be greatly appreciated and a big relief to countless Discord users, since it is the largest complaint I hear from people who choose other platforms over Discord! Although the current system is effective in shutting down bots, it is also effective in shutting down enthusiastic Discord users... and something should definitely be done about that.
