TTS doesn't work on Linux Native App

Well, the title says everything.
To reiterate: the Text To Speech feature doesn't work on Linux (Ubuntu, in my case), and I would appreciate a lot that this was changed.

  To be more specific. When other people use the TTS feature, those notifications do not get voiced on the Linux Client. I was able to make a notification that was voiced for other people on compatible clients, but I could not hear other people's TTS messages.

  struggling with partial temporary blindness from uvieitis rn and i would appreciate TTS working on the native linux client for accessibility reasons. i have the regular TTS libraries installed and they function in firefox.
