Ping message authors when replying by default toggle

The problem with the old quoting system used to be the pings: they were unecessary and annoying

Now that the reply feature is here, it also has the same problem. Sure, you can turn it off right here:

But trust me, it can get quite annoying if you're replying to people a lot

The solution would be a toggleable switch, where you can choose if you want it to be on or off by default in the User settings (Text & Images tab, to be exact)

Another solution would be making Discord remember if you turned off the ping last time you replied to someone

Please do consider adding an option like that since it's now annoying not to be annoying, and I don't believe it would be that hard to do. Thank you.

    Totally agree! It's very annoying clicking every time you want to reply, especially in an active chat, to turn off the ping. We need this!

    Bump. Would love this. 99% of replies from me and others in servers I'm in we turn it off but it gets missed sometimes and causes headache. Would be much easier to have it off and turn it on when needed.
