Escape Mentions \@everyone
I can't believe this hasn't been asked before but please allow people to escape \@everyone or any other mention.
We can escape #, /, @ and any other character. but the pings still get sent out to hundreds of users on my Discord when using \@everyone. Sometimes I do not want to ping literally everyone.

I'd like this too. I'd like to be able to create messages with role mentions and not ping everyone on that role. There are times when I have to re-send a message to my #roles channel. Typically these messages will mention a role, and how it works now will ping the role.
To work around this for the time being, you can either send a message and then edit it to the message you intended to send. This is probably the best workaround at the moment. Alternatively you set the channel perms so that @everyone can't see it, send your message and then revert your changes.

That would definitely be a fix for that problem, I just think it's weird that we can input these things as pure text. At the bug hunters community they told me this is a feature. So escaping would only result to showing the mention as normal text. But what's weird is that it keeps the functionality. That's what this post is trying to change.
