Servers should be able to opt-out of replies (and use quotes instead)
Quoting (instead of replying) is important in a few contexts. The two that affect me are servers for software projects and philosophy.
The reply feature means that the *default* has changed to one where a user isn't in control of their msg context. Previously, with quotes, the context and content of a reply to someone wasn't dependent on the previous message. That meant deletes or edits didn't affect the reply. That has now changed.
This is inconvenient at a minimum (it means new norms and a less convenient UI), and in the worst case means discord is unsuitable.
I wouldn't be surprised if most people didn't mind the reply feature, but for some *servers* it is a detrimental change.
Please add a server-level option to disable replies and revert to the old quoting behavior.

I agree this creates problems of people taking single messages out of context. I would like to be able to disable this feature completely server wide or at least exchange this for the old quote option instead.
