Discord Invite with Parameters

I had what I think is a really cool idea that a lot of Discord bot developers could take advantage of.

There should be a way for server admins to add parameters onto invite links. For example,

discord.com/invite/xxxxxxx?ref=facebook

Then, give the developer API access to those parameters when someone joins.

This would allow for better tracking of where invites are being used, as well as open up the possibility for certain roles to be assigned to a member upon joining depending on the invite parameters.

  This already exists, it's the state parameter.

  No it doesn't? There is no state parameter on the Invite. https://discord.com/developers/docs/resources/invite

  Oh, I thought you meant the state parameter on https://discord.com/api/oauth2/authorize.
