More detailed account profiles, instead of relying on roles to do all the heavy lifting

After, just out of curiosity, looking up how many roles a Discord server can have, I stumbled upon this thread from two years ago, discussing the possibility of increasing that number. Suggested reasons as to why one might want more than 250 roles in a server were to show what country you're from, what language(s) you speak, or to mention your personal interests.

To me, while increasing the total number of roles available would be fun, this completely misses the fundamental issue: that we're relying on unique server roles to do all of the heavy lifting when it comes to quickly communicating basic information about yourself to other Discord users. Ideally, this information should be set once, and then be visible to everyone who clicks/hovers over your name (unless that information isn't set/set to private/set to friends only/set to only visible to people you share a server with, etc).

Currently, all you can see when accessing someone's profile is their tag, their mood, their flares, your personal notes on them, their connected accounts, shared friends, and shared servers. It would be great if more freedom was allowed when it came to customising this area, allowing users to set information that many servers already ask of its users to provide via the use of roles: such as name, gender & preferred pronouns, age & DoB, nationality, and spoken languages.

It could also to give users more avenues of customisation over their profiles, similar to how Steam does it, by the use of unlockable/purchasable showcase areas where the user can display their favourite servers, favourite emojis, favourite games, or write freely. It could also have personalised or purchasable backgrounds (animated for nitro members?), frames around profile pics, or other cool stuff like that. More options might become available, depending on how long the user has been paying for nitro.

I think this would serve to help users add their own personal flair and really show who they are as a person, and make it easier for others to quickly find out basic information about the person such as where they're from, instead of relying on roles existing to serve that function on every server they're a member of. It would be both useful and fun!
