Let us disable showing our custom status in server privacy settings

Right now when you set a custom status it shows on every server, however there may be a server that you don't want your status to be visible in for one reason or another, so I think it would be useful to add "display your custom status" as a toggle in the "Privacy" menu that you can get to when you right click on a server.

    I upvote this for the opposite side of the equation as well, I'd like to have a "Don't show people's custom Status" option for my server.

    I completely agree to this. Most discords dislike users posting invites to other Discord servers/guilds. A guild I am currently part of uses a bot to delete Discord server invites from chat. The only exploit to this is a custom status due to the fact that you can place a discord server link as your own status. I welcome the change for servers to have an option to toggle on or off custom status being shown by users on the right side of discords user list.

    I agree. I moderate several servers that strive to be family friendly. People sometimes have language and explicit material in their status that we can't moderate. We don't want to ban people who happen to have these statuses but otherwise follow the server rules. We'd rather have the option to turn off the visibility for our server.

    Any update on  this from the Discord team? We use discord for our community (includes both generic users and even enterprise customers) for our app and it's pretty bad to see crap like this in a business friendly environment.

    Yeah this kind of stuff has no place in communities, and we need tools to resolve.
