Users that don't have paypal or a credit card to claim Xbox nitro gift

So, I find it weird that I have to link a credit card or PayPal to claim nitro that is free. Because not everyone is able to get a paypal or credit card and I feel like this should be fixed despite the fact we still won't be charged.

    What do you mean by that? Do you expect 13 year olds and above to have credit cards or paypal? some can ask their parents yes but what about those that their parents would say no?

    If their parents say no then they are not allowed to buy Nitro as parents are their legal guardians until the age of 18. You answered your question yourself.

    You can still legally not avail it as it requires guardian consent and its probably written is discord tos or nitro tos.
    If a friend gives, you'll still need to follow the procedure of getting consent from your parents/guardians unless you're 18+.

    In the discord ToS says nothing about someone under 18 cannot take advantage of a nitro gift (given at an event or by a friend)

    Therefore, I agree with RandomGuy.

    Also, what happens if the parents / guardian accept their consent to have free nitro (as a gift)? It won't do any good because you can't claim the Xbox gift.

    Dand , if the parent or guardian accept the gift , you can just ask them for their card permission and link the nitro to your account. If you don't want them to be charged , just cancel the nitro subscription before renew. Discord payments are already very flexible.Also I doubt Discord would remove adding card before availing nitro if you guys make this thread. Its simply dependent upon the payments team.

    and i don't have paypal and credit card ..
    I'm confused that I can't use that
