Allow switching back to old appearance
Okay, so, the old appearance was pretty good. Didn't like it at first, but it grew on me. But the new one, rolled out to Canary users...NO. No, please don't make it highlight the message my mouse is on. Please let us switch back to the old one. And even better, allow us to switch to the older one. My god, this new one is just...augh. My eyes. And I thought the one we had before was bad. It's just way too compact. It's like IRC, but in-between and worse. Plus, the messages come way to close to the part where you type into. I've created a little proof-of-concept for switching it with Inspect Element. I feel like this is the best choice, as there are lots of people that like the new design, and the older one, but there are lots of people (like me) that absolutely abhor the design, and would love to switch back. (also, am I the only one here who likes programming buttons into my applications? They're so fun!)
Oh yeah, and as you can see, I'm on Discord Canary 53653. Don't know how to get the version hash though.

Support for this. The app definitely feels more like a funhouse mirror in the latest update. I'd love to be able to go back to even older legacy versions, too.

Agreed on both counts. I actually like the ability to see the time of messages that aren't the first in a group, I'd support having that in the other styles. But the highlight. If we could have the time shown in the exact same way, just at the edge, but everything else the same, I'd be completely fine with it.
