Recognition of game activity
AbgeschlossenThe altium designer PCB design software is recognized as a game called elsword.
This process name is x2.exe.
Please correct it.

Would anyone actually be interested in starting a discord server for Altium Designer users?

Already exists

It looks like that's for a library add-on, not Altium as a whole? I think we just should take over the Elsword forum with Altium questions and help.

It's ostensibly for Celestial DB (https://altiumlibrary.com) but the guy who manages the DB works for altium in some capacity, and the chat is general altium discussion and links to video guides and layout walkthroughs.

Same issue. I was wondering what it meant and after a search, found this thread.

Welcome to the secret lair of the Badass PCB Designers of Discord. Sloppy layouts won't be tolerated. Autorouter use is grounds for an immediate ban.

I’ve messaged discord multiple times on Twitter about this case and got nothing in response. Sigh

I found the *official* altium discord

Please fix this. It's silly and shouldn't take that much effort to correct.

They will never fix this. I message them on Twitter monthly and I've never gotten a reply.

Experiencing the same issue, Ive emailed them (got an answer within 20min!) and was told to upvote possible resolutions (like a game blacklist) on here as they use this as a major metric on what to implement next along with an apology for the inconvenience.

Possible solutions
- Allow setting an override for an application name that is persistent
- Using something other than just the executable name to determine how activity is displayed

Holy smokes! I thought I’d be playing Elsword forever. Thanks guys.
