Oh, I bet the one-time-use invite that you get by clicking the Instant Invite button (without customizing it) worked for one person...

The default invite has infinite uses but only lasts 24 hours, but you're probably right that's what he used

Oh, might have gotten mixed that up with the 'invite to server' thing.
