Cutting messages off @ 2k
There's a 2000 character limit for sending messages, and currently, one must type the whole thing out to discover that it's over 2k characters. I think that there should be a warning displayed once you've typed 2k characters (before you press send), in order to prevent that feeling of disappointment bc you can't send your msg :pensive:

I would very much appreciate a character count in the bottom right or left of the text box, simply 0/2000, it would go a long way to make it very easy to readily see what your current character count is.
Edit: Currently when you get 200 characters away from the max it gives a visual in the bottom right of the text box.1 -
I'm not sure what version of Discord you're running, but for me on the website browser version of Discord, this feature already exists, as demonstrated here. A warning shows up when you're at 1,800 characters, 200 below the character limit, and after you pass the character limit, the excessive characters are shown in red. You can get up to -500 characters before clicking to another channel will delete the rest of the message past that point.
