Emote suggestions on mouse hover block the messages

I like to hover over the messages I'm reading with the cursor, as if keeping track on the page with your finger when reading a book with a child. I didn't know I did this though, until the sudden massive emote suggestion bar that pops on over the message I'm reading. It engulfs the very message I am reading currently, and manages to obstruct multiple words.

Very annoying to have to be suddenly aware of cursor placement when trying to follow chat.

    I agree with you, it is pretty annoying.

    I suggest that they should make an option to disable the quick emote responses in the settings. It is really unnecessary, because you have the normal reaction button. Also, if I want to quote someone, I'll right-click on the message and do so. I don't need a quick quote button.

    This might seem like an over reaction, but I find this so upsetting that it has ruined my enjoyment of discord enough that I might start to use it phone only. I can't believe that they put this is an when I first noticed I instantly started searching for a way to turn it off.
