Discord overlay goes invisible in World of Warcraft Classic

OS Windows 10 Pro
GFX card AMD RX580X Driver version 20.1.3

The overlay will work at first, but after a but it goes invisible.
It is still there, i can hit the overlay hotkey, and blindly click and stuff happens, like i can mute myself etc, even type if i blindly hit the text entry box and control of game is disabled
I hit overlay hotkey again and control goes back to the game.

I have tried with hardware accel on and off, no difference
I have tried running discord as admin, no difference
I reinstalled discord, no change
Desktop scaling is at a plain 100%

I do not believe i saw this problem until the most recent discord update
I also have not yet observed this issue in other games, just WoW Classic.

  Guess what - I can´t even connect wow with Discord...

  This is the same issue for me. wanted it to manage while raiding but it disappears.
