Daily mute schedule

I would also like Discord to have something like that. I have online classes, and my discord server does not stop sending messages during classes. One example where you can use it would be scheduling the mute time from a certain time to another for a week or something like that. That way, you would be able to concentrate on class or work and you will not be muting the Discord servers every single time that you are working, having class, relaxing, etc.

I third this. Note that setting yourself to busy is not necessarily a solution if you still want to receive notifications for selected servers. For example, I like to keep in the loop with some friend groups, or I moderate a few servers, but I would like to mute "LFG"-type or clan-like servers while at work or in class.

Yes I fully support this. I've been waiting for something like for around a year now. With more or less the same reasons as above. Muting server while I am at work is really the main thing. Instead of having to use the "Mute for 8 eights" options every day. Essentially its like the feature you have on phones. where you can create "plans" when the phone needs to be muted.I use that for a few different things.

Having this to both Mobile and desktop would be the best though.

Great idea. I'm missing this for a long time

Please get this done. Thousands, if not hundreds of thousands of people use this for pinging events in Eve online alone. Imagine other true persistent MMOs also do this. I'd love to get notifications when I'm actually available; a scheduled mute would be immensely useful.

Yes please! It’s either this or I’ll have to silence all discord notifications.. I can’t do the “Mute for 8 hours” for all servers on a daily basis.

Discord please hear us out! :)

For me it's even worse, my company uses Discord for communication! I'd like to mute the work server outside of work hours... :)

Same situation here. Currently considering making a second accound to sparate work and gaming.

We need a feature to control notifications just like Slack does

I'd really love something like this implemented, I have servers from projects and work that I'd like to mute out of working ours automatically.

This would be great but I would like to propose that instead of per server, you can set up servers to be muted according to a preset (custom) schedule:

    (for example)

    Schedule 1 -  8 am - 5 pm (or even 8 am - 12 pm, then 1 pm to 5 pm) applies to [M/T/W/Th]
    Schedule 2 -  10 am - midnight
    Schedule 3 -  24 hours

    Then per server

    During:

    schedule 1 - mute (yes/no)
    schedule 2 - mute (yes/no)
schedule 3 - mute (yes/no) <-- this one conflicts with the others but it means the user is in control of the 'ooopsie' and you don't have to program any custom logic for checking if their settings make sense.  (just make it last in overrides?  schedule 1 overrides maybe)
    etc.

And I was trying to think of a way to have one layer above that to indicate you are on holiday so you wouldn't have to reset all your schedules then but i need to work so i'll just post this and hope someone else has a better version of this.

I also desperately want this feature. I have some categories the include NSFW content that I'd love to have automatically mute themselves during my working hours on weekdays. I still want every other notification from the servers they're in, but I just don't want to forget to turn notifications for those categories off.

This is a feature I've wanted for a long time. I already keep most servers muted at all times to keep notifications from constantly blasting me during work hours, but I would like to be able to set a daily mute schedule for some of my remaining servers. Since there's no custom hour option or anything like that, I can't log in when I start my workday and do "mute for 10 hours" or anything. Being able to set an 8-6 schedule where Discord doesn't send me notifications for anything other than @s would be extremely helpful. I'm also unlikely to remember to unmute channels every day when I get off of work, so just muting them indefinitely every morning isn't a feasible solution for me.

This is the most wanted feature for me. I wanna be able to mute working server during non-working hours

This would be great for introverts. Receiving notifications for all the servers I’m in all the time is exhausting, but I’ll never check discord if I mute everything.

Its been 2 years from this post. And it was accurate and is it now too.

Lot of companies are moving away from slack to discord. And should be like a basic thing to have, that every discord group has a notification schedule. Like slack has for years now.

I know that the feature must be based on "making profit", but I really think that this feature will help more companies to move to discord.

I would LOVE to do this - I mute bigger servers that I am in because I get overwhelmed by the number of messages, but I forget to unmute when I access the servers, therefore, leading me to accidentally disengage from the community unless my attention is dedicated to the conversation of the moment. It's interesting that this was recommended 2 years ago, but there seems to be a surge in interest these last few months. I'd definitely make use of a feature like this!

Yes, I want exactly what Slack has for muting schedule.

    Per-server basis would be great.
